The Alabama Crash Facts book has been published by the CARE Research & Development Laboratory since 1997. Hard copy books were printed by CRDL through 2003. Since that time, ALDOT has published the hard copy versions but CRDL continues to compute the data and compile the book. CRDL continues to publish the online version of the book. These books detail various aspects of traffic crashes throughout the state from the previous year. This includes details about the time of crashes, the ages of those involved in crashes, the type of roadways where crashes occur, alcohol related crashes, motorcycle crashes, bicycle crashes, and pedestrian crashes.
CRDL is available to produce crash facts books for other states as well. If you are interested in having CRDL produce your Crash Facts Book, or similar publications, please contact us.
